- HI everyone,
-
- I am planing on changing my internet provider. I have been using my
- father's account to test airmail with slippcall. It has so far failed.
-
- Slipcall requires AMITCP and I have 4.0demo. I have reinstalled amitcp
- for the internet provider that I am going to be using in the future.
-
- It dials in ok, and when I log out, it gives me a amitcp error. like it
- has 1 task still remaining. And something with the airmail but it is not
- a error.
-
- with the airmail, when I click on the get new mail button, it loads up
- and gives me the the requestor of connecting to my IP. It just sits
- there and nothing happens after that, I click cancel a bunch of times and
- then comes up with cant read pop ID. I have config the program the way
- I have it set up for my current on and it works fine. I also use Mlink.
-
- I do belive that it is AMITCP's fault. The main reason I register
- Airmail is to have it with my new IP. I wanted a dialin and slippcall
- seems to be a good choice. so with the combination of the two, I will be
- very happy. I am just sick of logging in then loging out, click mlink an
- then get my mail, I think that is too much mickey mouse stuff.
-
- with Slippcall, you can just dail in and then click the get new mail of
- airmail and then log out, simple..:)
-
- What should I do about the Amitcp. should I just totaly delete it and re
- install it, because I think I have two and maybe it is confused ( like me
- :> ) could it be that I dont have the ppp device set correctly. I cant
- load ibrowse this way either, it wont work. It will just say at the
- bottom 'connecting to blah blah.. and never connect, no matter where I
- go, so I think something is not right with the TCP/IP stack.
-
- any help would be great..:)
-
- thanks
-
